Say goodbye to the Big Boy
“In many ways, Bob’s Big Boy never left, sir,” a NASA commander offers in Austin Powers, when a rocketship in the form of a checker-clad, burger-toting, chubby-cheeked kid returns to Earth after disappearing in the 1960s. Today, we retire that joke to the dustbin of history, as the Big Boy burger chain announced that its iconic mascot will be replaced by a female face. Dolly, the new mascot, will promote a new chicken sandwich menu item, Food and Wine reports. Whether it’s a permanent change or just a stunt, we’re not sure.
