McDonald’s has a real sexual harassment problem

When we think about workplace harassment, oftentimes the image that comes to mind is a large corporate office space, entitled bosses abusing power and quid pro quo. It’s an issue that is prevalent in every industry, though, and many women’s voices are still struggling to be heard. McDonald’s in particular has failed to provide adequate protections for workers experiencing workplace harassment, The Nation reports. Despite dozens of women coming forward about inappropriate and at times violent advances from co-workers, the fast food company has done little to address this systemic problem. Workers have even rallied a large-scale strike to raise awareness.
