Restaurants across the country close amid Black Lives Matter protests
As protests continue in response to the murder of George Floyd and numerous Black lives lost to police brutality, many restaurants and other retail businesses are closing up shop. On Sunday in Philadelphia, the mayor ordered all retailers to shut down, according to The Washington Post. Restaurant closures continue after many businesses have already severely cut back on their operations to ensure safety during the coronavirus pandemic.
