California advocacy group says farm workers should be prioritized for Covid-19 vaccine
California farm workers, who have faced particularly high risks for infection during the pandemic, should be prioritized for a Covid-19 vaccine, according to a coalition of 11 farmworker advocate organizations. Last Tuesday, the coalition submitted its recommendations to the governor’s office and health task force. The makers of two vaccines have announced they could be effective for more than 90 percent of recipients, but health officials are determining who should be eligible to receive the vaccine when it first rolls out.
