29 tons of carrots were dumped on a London university campus as an art installation
In London last week, 29 tons of carrots were dumped onto a university campus for an art installation. Titled Grounding, the piece by artist Rafael Perez Evans received criticism from students who believe the art exacerbated food waste, The Independent reports. Many students took carrots home to eat and some students responded in protest, dedicating an Instagram account to document how they are interacting with the art. A bake sale made from the carrots donated proceeds to local food banks. The artist claims all of the carrots will be collected and fed to animals after the exhibition.
