What’s the actual deal with Lifetime’s “mini-movie” about sexy Colonel Sanders?
This Sunday on Lifetime, KFC will present a “mini-movie” called A Recipe for Seduction, featuring Mario Lopez as Harland Sanders. In this role, Sanders is a private chef for a family whose grown daughter falls for him and his fried chicken, leaving her fiancé behind. This isn’t the first time the fast-food chain has strategized to give Sanders an upgrade. Last year, KFC premiered a video game called, I Love You, Colonel Sanders! where players could woo him with dialogue choices. Although the mini-movie does not appear to resemble his life story, the real Harland Sanders was a reputed womanizer who left his wife for his mistress, Claudia Price. Together they developed the recipe that became his famous fried chicken. The Washington Post has the story.
