Instacart is partnering with JPMorgan Chase to launch its own credit card in hopes of retaining customers and attracting new users. DoorDash is looking for a partner to do the same, The Wall Street Journal reports. Why all the sudden interest? Both delivery companies saw a big surge in users during the pandemic, making them tempting credit card partners. Before Covid-19 lockdowns, JPMorgan Chase frequently paired up with airlines and hotels to launch travel cards. Now, its Instacart collab suggests that delivery apps could be hot new territory. The grocery delivery app’s credit card is predicted to launch next year, while DoorDash is still currently reviewing bids, and is expected to make a decision in the next few weeks.
