Restaurants threw out spoiled ingredients as grocery stores scrambled to impose temporary purchasing restrictions on items like milk and eggs. And then came the water issues: low pressure, boil-water notices, dry taps. Texans reported driving around all day looking for hot food as their homes remained powerless. As of Monday, a third of state residents still had lingering water supply issues.
