USPS slowdowns lead to dead baby chickens

The Portland Press-Herald has a disturbing report out of Maine, that due to post office slowdowns, farmers are ordering baby chicks in the mail only to find them dead on arrival. “We’ve never had a problem like this before,” said farmer Pauline Henderson, who received a shipment of 800 chicks from Pennsylvania, all of them dead.
