Magazine sees print sales skyrocket after attaching seed packets to new issues

Indian magazine Manorama Weekly has adopted a novel growth strategy during Covid-19: It’s promoting literal growth—like, from the ground up—by attaching vegetable seed packets to its magazines. The giveaway is a collaboration with the government of the state of Kerala, and so far, it appears to have sparked a germ of excitement among readers in these dull times. Readership has spiked from 190,000 to 247,000 weekly copies since March, What’s New In Publishing reports.
