The Counter is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Donations are 100% tax-deductible.
Philanthropist S. Donald Sussman provided the funding to launch The New Food Economy in 2015, and is a continuing major benefactor of The Counter. The New Food Economy was renamed The Counter in 2020.
Donor Policy
Our organization may consider donations to support the coverage of a particular topic, but we maintain editorial control of that coverage. We will cede no right of review or influence over editorial content.
