Michelin, the tire company perhaps best known for the stars it bestows on high-end restaurants, has announced it will now anoint sustainability-focused restaurants with a green clover. “Green” features might include permaculture gardens, collaborations with green-minded producers, or particularly strong composting programs. The symbol has already debuted in France, though it’s unclear whether it will make the jump over the pond. Eater first reported on the innovation last week, calling it a “Michelin leaf.” Food & Wine has more.
