A Brooklyn waitress was fired after she decided not to get a Covid-19 vaccine

Bonnie Jacobson, 34, was a waitress at the Red Hook Tavern in Brooklyn until she was fired for deciding not to get a Covid-19 vaccine. Jacobson supports the vaccine but wanted to study its potential effects on fertility, The New York Times reports. The restaurant’s owner did not comment specifically on Jacobson’s case, but said their business policies have been adjusted to make exemption rules more clear to employees.
