Costco to pull Palmetto Cheese from shelves following brand owner calling BLM a “terror organization”

Costco decided they will no longer stock Palmetto Cheese, following the brand owner’s racist remarks calling Black Lives Matter a “terror organization” on Facebook last month. In addition to running the cheese company, Brian Henry is also mayor of a small South Carolina coastal town where he faced calls for his mayoral resignation and protests from the NAACP. The company also received additional backlash for the use of a Black woman on the brand’s label, which they state will be repackaged by the end of October. The News & Observer has the story
