Whole Foods employees file a class-action lawsuit for prohibiting Black Lives Matter apparel

More than a dozen Whole Foods workers in four states filed a class-action lawsuit after they were sent home without pay and threatened with “corrective” discipline or termination for wearing Black Lives Matter masks and apparel at work. The lawsuit claims the Amazon-owned company didn’t enforce their dress code policies for other masks with messages, sports, or LGBTQIA+ pride apparel, according to The New York Times. The lawsuit also notes that Whole Foods and Amazon published statements supporting Black Lives Matter and denouncing racism. The company denies that any employees have been terminated for wearing BLM apparel.
