But as Lifehacker points out, this idea is more marketing jargon than actual fiscal shrewdness. “Most reviews suggest that the costs are about the same as shopping in a grocery store, although you can get a few breaks on certain items here and there (less so on the prepackaged stuff).” Bottom line: For the time-crunched food shopper, these services can save the hassle of a supermarket visit, but not too much more.
