Schumer pleads “guilty” … to loving cheesecake

Rare as it may be to cut through political banter, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer claimed he was “guilty as charged” for spending over $8,600 on cheesecakes from the historic Brooklyn eatery, Junior’s. “It’s the best cheesecake in the world… it’s my guilty pleasure,” the NY Democrat confirmed during a recent press conference covered by CNN. Still, according to financial reports—as well as Schumer himself—a vast majority of these purchases were made as gifts for supporters, as well as lighthearted gambling among his colleagues. “I use them for bets… [like] a Brooklyn thing for a Wisconsin thing.” Also, he spent the money over the course of a decade…is this really a story?
