A chicken company will be killing nearly two million chickens without processing because staffing is down due to Covid-19. The Delmarva Poultry Industry confirmed the report with local TV station 47 ABC. However, they did not say which company was behind the move. Due to a decrease in staff attendance across many plants, the move was apparently a last resort. DPI claims the methods used to depopulate the chickens are accepted by the American Veterinary Medical Association and follows state and local guidelines.
