Internet trolls are posting negative reviews for restaurants that require vaccines

Restaurants limiting indoor dining service to vaccinated customers have become the target of online trolls, MIT Technology Review reports. After a photo of a sign outside Manhattan bar Mother’s Ruin that read “Unvaccinated → Outdoors or To-Go ONLY” went viral, anti-vaxxers began posting negative reviews on its Yelp page. The owners said they’d received hate mail from people who hoped the bar would burn down. Other restaurants have seen similar reactions to mandatory vaccination policies. Response from the tech platforms has been patchy: Yelp temporarily disabled reviews for Mother’s Ruin, but restaurant owners haven’t been so lucky with Google reviews.
