Nearly 1,000 L.A. County restaurants are not obeying coronavirus safety guidelines, inspections show

In Los Angeles County, public health officials recently inspected approximately 2,000 restaurants, only to find half of them were not complying to the county’s safety standards. Officials stress the necessity of following safety guidelines both for customers and merchants in order to avoid new coronavirus outbreaks as the economy opens again. Despite a rise in the number of cases, officials say they think it’s safe to reopen as long as rules are being followed. Violators will be revisited and patrons can file complaints to a public health hotline. The Los Angeles Times has the story.
